MISSION STATEMENT:
Inspiritnews.com was founded in 2004 by Joshua Goodling as a way to reach others and to encourage people in America and around the world in their daily lives. The purpose of Inspirit News is to bring you the stories and information that change lives for the better and that cause people to stop and think before they act. We want to inspire communities to work together, companies to care more for their customers and employees, families to encourage each other, and individuals to make something out of their lives. We want to point out how the right attitudes, acts of kindness and compassion, and faith in God can change our world for the better.
There are countless newspapers, magazines, websites, television and radio programs all across the world, printing and broadcasting the daily news for all to read, hear, and view. The problem is, most of these news outlets major on the "bad" news. The top stories are generally something like; "Five People Killed Today", "Major War Outbreak", "Scandal at a Major Corporation", etc. They all seem to focus on the bad things that happen on a daily basis. If people only pay attention to these outlets of information, they will begin to think that all the world is bad, there's nothing good.
The Bible says in Philippians 4:8; "...whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things." The purpose of Inspirit News is to bring it's readers stories that inspire and challenge. We want to focus on the "good" news in people's lives, communities, and corporate worlds.
Inspiritnews.com is solely developed, operated and funded by Joshua Goodling. If you wish to help with this endeavor, or have some suggestions/ideas, please contact Joshua today. Joshua is constantly looking for other websites, and sources of inspiration and information to partner with in reaching others with encouragment and hope.
FAITH STATEMENT:
I believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, which contains all the information we need to find Jesus Christ as our Saviour and to live a genuine Christian life in this world. I believe there is only one true God, eternally existent in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). I believe Jesus Christ is the true Son of God, that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and that He died on the cross of Calvary in order to pay the penalty for man's sin. I believe Jesus rose again on the third day, and that He will return again some day to call those who believe in Him as Lord and Saviour to Heaven. I believe all men are sinners, that there is a penalty that must be paid for sin, and that penalty is eternity in hell. I believe salvation through geniune faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to escape that penalty. I believe that all Christians are to seek to live a life different than the world, seeking first the Kingdom of God, and in complete faith and trust in Jesus Christ, while seeking to love others and make a difference in this world. I believe that one day we will all stand before God and give an account of the way we have lived our lives.

ABOUT JOSHUA
Most of us have a hobby or favorite pastime that keeps us busy outside of work, but how many of us can say that doing what we love has made a difference in someone else's life? Joshua Goodling can. When he's not building web pages and cranking out javascript at his full-time job, Joshua leads the active life of an inspirational and motivational speaker. "Many people aren't happy," Joshua says. "If I can bring some happiness to others, that's my purpose in life. To inspire and encourage people that they can do more than just make it, more than just get by. They can actually make something of their lives."
Joshua was born in Chicago, one of seven children, and lived in 14 states while growing up. At the age of 4, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The doctors said he had a week to live and his chances of survival were zero. After several months of surgeries, treatments, and a close call with death, the cancer was gone. Although he still contends daily with challenges from the ordeal, Joshua came through with a deep interest in helping others, a story to tell, and more importantly, a message for everyone: "Life is what YOU make it."
A part-time interest in computers eventually led Joshua to move from Tennessee to join WebMD, where he works full-time, and he now speaks several times a year. "Not as much as I'd like to, of course." But he has expanded his campaign to include books and inspirational pamphlets that tell his story and convey his messages of hope and encouragement. He writes letters and mails materials all over the world -- to regular folks and not-so-regular folks. And they respond. Josh has received letters of thanks from Presidents, Queens, and others. "Everyone has problems and difficulties in life, but you don't always remember that famous people do, too. Fame and fortune don't bring happiness; a lot of those people are unhappy. That's why I try to reach people like them as well as everyone else." He is also an inspirational speaker.
It's not all work for Josh, though. He enjoys golf and is an avid traveler. In the past three years he has visited Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and England.
To what does Josh attribute his success? "A positive attitude toward life, my relationship with Jesus Christ, and my parents.
